SNAKE PIT

Snake Pit is the improv duo of Maddie Houlbrook-Walk and John Robles.

Formed in 2017, the duo were finalists in the Impro Australia Theatresports Cranston Cup and won the Improv Theatre Sydney Smackdown Championship in 2018. In 2019, they were invited to open for the award-winning duo The Bear Pack at a sold-out show in Sydney.

Drawing on training from UCB New York, iO Chicago, and Improv Theatre Sydney, Snake Pit developed a fast-paced style built around quick wit, bold characters, and strong onstage chemistry.

The pair headlined numerous shows in Sydney before touring Cold-Blooded through Midsumma Festival, Adelaide Fringe, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and later performed Wild West Rodeo at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Although now based in New York and London, they still reunite for special performances whenever possible.
